Plastimo Inflatable IOR Dan Buoy

The Plastimo Inflatable IOR Dan Buoy has two key features.

First it is compact and can be rail or bulkhead mounted to leave the area free of hindrance - This makes it ideal for Power Craft where the smart, ergonomic canister blends with the more streamlined profile of such craft.

Secondly the Dan Buoy when inflated becomes a Lifebuoy and can provide buoyancy assistance to the victim in the water. With the webbing sling seat and grip loop the victim can secure themself to the Dan Buoy and wait for assistance, in an energy saving position.

The Plastimo Inflatable Dan Buoy is compliant to ISAF and IOR Race regulations.

Instruction for use

1. In the event of a man overboard emergency.
2. Release the canister from the holder by pulling the blue elastic strap over the top of the canister.
3. Throw the canister forcefully, and complete, overboard in the direction of the person overboard.
4. Deployment will be automatic; the lanyard with firing lever will remain attached to the holder.
5. If necessary the Dan buoy may be topped up by use of the red top up tube located on the mast.
6. The light on the Dan buoy is automatically activated upon inflation.

Routine Checks and Servicing

To ensure that your inflatable Dan buoy is fully operational when needed, it is recommended to check it regularly and service annually.

Routine checks should include a visual check and inspection of the cylinder to ensure it is firmly screwed in place.
