Opinel Outdoor Knife No. 8 with Shackle Key & Whistle -

The new generation of Opinel Knife designed for activities at sea or in mountains. Comes complete with a Shackle Key, Emergency Whistle, and Rope cutter. Particularly suitable for sporting activities at sea and mountain : mountaineering, paragliding, trekking, canyoning, potholing, sailing, nautical activities. 

Blade Length

• 8.5cm

Sandvik stainless steel

• Opinel uses Sandvik 12C27 modified stainless steel
• Anti-corrosive thanks to the addition of chrome and requires no special maintenance
• Its carbon content of at least 0.40% gives excellent cutting edge.

Handle

• Fibreglass-reinforced polyamide to whithstand shocks, humidity, and extreme temperatures(-40°C à +80°C)
• Pealess survival whistle functions in all weathers (110 decibels).

Safety Ring

• Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06
• Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding
• In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).
