Laser IRL Sail Letters 9"

9" IRL Sail Letters are designed for racing dinghies more than 3.5m long. This item only includes the I. R and L ordered seperately.
{Rules}
Boats racing under the Racing Rules of Sailing must display a Sail Number. A boat racing under any rating rules such as IRC & ECHO must display an IRL Sail Number as prescribed by the ISA. This sail number shall be in accordance with rule 77, Identification on Sails and Appendix G. Applications including details of the boat are required to be completed before a number is issued.

By default the Sail Numbers remain with a boat when it is sold. When a boat changes ownership the new owner will need to re-register the sail number in their name.

IRL numbers for Cruiser / Racers are issued in sequence from the ‘Other Sailing Class’ section of the ISA database. The next available number will be issued for a boat. A selected IRL number can be requested subject to availability. These numbers are reserved for a period of 48 hours subject to payment of the appropriate fee. The number will be released and be available for another boat if the application and fee is not completed in that time.
