More Than A Voyage - John O Connor

John O’Connor is a retired lecturer and a native of Dingle where he served his time building wooden fishing boats in Dingle Boatyard. He is a keen sailor and a founder of Dingle Sailing Club. John taught students of boatbuilding and carpentry in ITTralee for more than thirty years and in 2009 published a college text book, Geometrical Drawing for Carpentry and Joinery. John has sailed extensively and recently published a book, More Than a Voyage, which details his many adventures at sea. He is presently working on a book which will feature furniture he has constructed over the years in his Dingle workshop.
