Marine Sales Executive – Dinghy & Sailing Department
CH Marine is one of Ireland’s leading marine equipment companies and is actively seeking applications for a Senior Sales Executive in our Dinghy & Technical Sailing Department based in our Cork city premises.
About the Position
CH Marine is a dealer for many of the sailing industry’s leading brands. We are distributors for Marlow and Barton and are dealers for ILCAs, Ocean Play, Harken, Wichard, Optiparts and many more. The position is based at our Cork city store, which is open 6 days. The work hours are generally based on a 40-hour week. The hours include, but are not limited to, Saturday working, occasional events and offsite working.
Areas of responsibility
- ILCA sales throughout Ireland, boats and spares including support at some main events
- Technical rope sales including arranging of splicing
- Sales of dinghy and sailboat hardware, including products from Barton, Harken, Wichard, Sowester, Optiparts
- Sales of sailing electronics
- Sales of related clothing including Zhik, Rooster and Musto
- Overall control of stock related to the department
Requirements
- Good communications skills
- A genuine interest in sailing and sailing products
- Good all-round knowledge in all aspects of racing and performance sailing - dinghies and sports boats
- Experience in ILCA, Optimist and Topper sailboats
- Proficient ability in splicing and basic rigging
- Good keyboard skills and basic IT abilities
- Willingness to explore and train in new products
- Enjoy working as part of a team with a focus on excellence in customer service

Marine Sales Executive – Marine Electronics & Electrical Department
CH Marine is one of Ireland’s leading marine equipment companies and are actively seeking applications for a Senior Sales Executive in our Marine Electronics & Electrical Department, based in our Cork Premises. CH Marine represents many of the marine industry’s leading brands in marine electronics as well as other onboard (some shore based) power management equipment, including solar. We are distributors for leading brands such as Navico, Garmin, Icom, Victron and Mastervolt.
About the Position
The successful applicant will be involved in frontline sales offering technical advice and guidance on the electronic and electrical related products and services. This can involve the use of system builder software to construct wiring diagrams and layouts. Product training and updating is a constant requirement and this is mostly conducted by our suppliers.
Areas of responsibility
- Direct sales of marine electronics and electrical components
- Assist in website display and management of same products
- Assist in purchasing and determining the stocked ranges
- Key client management including on-site visits
- Assist in storing and stock control of the range
- Problem solving client issues
Requirements
- Good communications skills with genuine interest in marine electrical
- Preferable knowledge and experience with qualifications in electronics
- Good keyboard skills and IT abilities
- Willingness to explore and train in new products
- Enjoy working as part of a team with a focus on excellence in customer service
Hours
A 5-day week based on 40 hours, with some Saturday work included.
